THURSDAY 9/29/11- On the one hand, American Idol seems to favor contestants from the south. On the other hand, many people with southern accents believe they have been turned down by employers because a southern accent "sounds dumb." Is such an accent really a handicap in everyday life? Also, is North Carolina losing its accent, as more Northerners move in?
