The Obama administration is shifting federal policy away from prosecuting medical marijuana users. NORML Deputy Director Paul Armentano agrees wholeheartedly with the new policy, and he contends that
consumption of cannabis by adults is safer to the user and to society than is the consumption of alcohol. In fact that's the premise of his book, "Marijuana Is Safer: So Why Are We Driving People to Drink?"
