MONDAY 12/20/12- It was--and is--an unshakable identity, regardless of Max Baer’s other successes and projects. Following his role as Jethro Bodine in The Beverly Hillbillies, Baer wrote and produced the motion picture Macon County Line , one of the largest grossing movies per dollar invested of all time. However,, the Jethro character was so ingrained in Americas' psyche, that Max decided to turn the stereotype into a huge marketing opportunity by creating Jethro's Beverly Hillbillies Mansion and Casino, which he discussed with Allan in 2005.
