Everyone knows the hits "Mony Mony," "I Think We're Alone Now," and "Crimson and Clover." However, few know the unlikely story of how these songs came to be. Now, Tommy James is ready to reveal the entire story of how he and the Shondells found themselves working for Morris Levy at Roulette Records. Levy was considered a "godfather" of the music business in a very real sense because of his mob affiliations. "ME, THE MOB, AND THE MUSIC" tells the story of the complex and sometimes terrifying relationship between Tommy James and his own record label.
Later in the hour, Rolling Stone magazine writer Steve Knopper joins the conversation with his own insights into the music business, past and present.
